A message to Golfers
You don’t struggle because you can’t swing the club. You struggle because one bad decision turns into two lost shots… then three… then a scorecard you’d rather forget.
I know this because I lived it for 30 years.
My name is Paul Cudina. I’m an Australian amateur club golfer, a mid-handicapper, and the founder of The Good Miss. I’m not a teaching pro, and I’m not here to rebuild your takeaway or tweak your wrist hinge. I’m here to change how you think.
From "Hope Golf" to Club Champion
For decades, I watched myself and others repeat the same patterns: chasing distance over position, aiming at tucked pins we had no business attacking, and relying on "hope" as a strategy. I realized that we don't lack skill, we lack margin.
By developing a framework to remove ego from my decision-making, I went from just another guy in the pack to winning two B-Grade Club Championships, numerous Monthly Medals and many regular Saturday Competitions. I didn’t find a magic swing; I found a way to manage my misses.
The Mission
The Good Miss was born to solve the "regular golfer's" biggest problem. My goal is to replace "hope golf" with a predictable, margin-based strategy that makes the game more enjoyable and your scores more consistent.
We focus on five core pillars:
A Universal Framework: Logic that works for you, regardless of your handicap.
Ego Removal: Taking the emotion out of your club selection.
Planned Misses: Learning where it’s "safe" to fail so your next shot is always simple.
The Four Stages: Mastering the mental game off the Tee, on the Approach, in the Short Game, and on the Green.
Pure Enjoyment: Putting a smile on your face when you finally add up your score.
Manage the Miss, Save the Round
I still believe in the value of a professional lesson for your swing but while you're working on that, The Good Miss will help you score with the swing you have today.
It’s about making sure that when you do miss, and we all do, you miss in the right places. A "Good Miss" keeps your ball in play, avoids the big numbers, and keeps your round alive.
Stop chasing perfection. Start planning for the win.
Happy Golfing,
Paul Cudina
